Sasha, as a young child, wanted to be a medical doctor. When he was about ten years old, at the advice of his pediatrician, his parents gave him pharmaceutical medication to assist with his learning. He became very depressed, lost a lot of weight, and had many other horrible side effects, then one day he announced to his mother, “I am not taking these drugs anymore. They are killing me.” From that day forward, he was introduced to a natural healing lifestyle.
Sasha fell in love with learning how to heal the body. Hippocrates said it best: “Food is medicine”; give your body what it needs and it will heal itself. At the age of 16, he enrolled in an intense class in Indianapolis, Indiana to complete his CNHP (Certified Natural Health Professional). During the certification process, he knew he was hooked for life. No longer did he want to be a Western medical doctor, he was determined to become a natural healer.
Sasha began researching what type of healer he wanted to be. At this time in his life, his end goal is to complete his doctorate in Oriental Medicine specializing in Acupuncture.
In creating this educational path, becoming a licensed massage therapist made sense — a great stepping stone towards his end goal. Sasha graduated from Greenville Tech’s massage program and is currently in grad school at ASAOM in Tucson, Az for Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. When he is not in class, he specializes in cupping, therapeutic, and Swedish massage.
